Well, we did it again. We had a little draw fest (for those of you who have no idea what that is, we just choose a subject, paint it, and see what we come up with)
now there are a few of them, so here goes:

1) inspired by some sweet Sleding action, we drew these. Odashi lives in the country, with big roling hills covered in snow, thus sweet inspiration.
Odashi's:

Isrics:

I think mine is kinda boring and pooy

2)just a quick idea of an inhuman warrior coming down from above, (I like how mine turned out this time)
Odashis:

Isrics:

3) a huge beast used to carry big stones across a field. Not small stones, big stones. And dont you forget it.
Odashis:

Isrics:

and finally
4) Just a boring old fortress in the sky.
Odashis:

Isrics:

To close, this is a really fun game, and if you have artistic friends, I recommend playing it often. Its fun to see the different perspectives people have on the same subject. Feel free to add your own renditions, or just comment. Thanks peeps

Cool practicing game. Unfortunately I don't have a painting partner around, gotta make use of our good old little forum here.
Yes, the dragonride is a little weak, but i dig the descending warrior. DO NOT give him a face, like this he's mysterious. The arc of his sword looks pretty odd, though. Well, space strangers probably do look odd.
I like the stonecarrying beasts best. I just love all sorts of fantasy mounts...
How come those vertical streaks appear in your recent pics; is that a painter effect? I don't think it adds much to the image. It interferes with the flow of shapes, IMO.

Wow, that last one of Isric is really cool and I like it. I think the main reason for that is that you have some really sharp ideas/contrasts and the colours really work well. I like Jenn's one as well but have to agree, looks more like birds.

hey thanks guys, first off, I don't know how to get rid of those vertical streeks. Actually if anyone could help that would be good, how do you change the texture in Painter?

Second, Jenn, thats incredible. The concept is perfect, i love it.

ahh Isiric you must be either using the "oil" brush or "sable" or have a texture on the canvas--just mess around with your tools palette dropdowns...I find the scratchboard tool works well if I want just a "photoshop-y" dot brush thingie with no texture

Some really good images there.
I like Odashi's drgaon ride pic, reminds me of Panzer Dragoon and your inhuman warrior, both have alot of atmosphere to them.

Pretty cool isric. Looks like your improving from the last series you've posted. I'm still confused on the sledding ones though, a bit odd to tell what's going on there

To get rid of the texture--Change the paper texture...I think it's in 'Art Materials/paper'
