Hey peeps, I did this a couple days back.
Actually I had done the line work a couple months ago not thinking I would ever color it in, thats why I have a lot of dirty lines.
I was kinda lazy and didnt really feel lke taking them all off...

Anyways, im no coloring master i know that but I still wanted to give it a shot, and im aware that his uniform isnt exactly the same, I had messed up trying to draw him from memory

Well here it is, its as finished as it'll ever be, I doubt ill retouch it but crits/comments/tips are very welcome !

something tells me wolverine wouldn't be that dainty with his cigar, but good job nonetheless

My tea's gone cold,I'm wondering why I got out of bed at all
the morning rain clouds up my window and I can't see at all
And even if I could it'd all be grey, but your picture on my wall
it reminds me that it's not so bad
it's not so bad

Nice Start. I can say that you are better than me, no one has actually seen any of my artworks. I'm new. I have no PS, no Wacom. All I can say is BOO HOO.

I will however offer some constructive crit.

1. You are right, too many pencils.

2. In my opinion you need to develop a focal point in the pic. It seems to me that everything has been coloured and shaded with a simple light source and pallette. Perhaps you should vary the brightness/Darkness (Brighter highlights closer to light source).

In particular I'd like to mention that his codpiece is a little bit too bright. It kinda stands out too much. Perhaps 'Cigars' were the theme? hehehe (Joking)

In conclusion:

Good proportions (as far as I can tell). Its a good pic. Keep on going and...

Create, Create, Create...

not a bad pose. i like the dainty way he's holding the cigar.

i think 2 things would help this image out in a big way:

1) cleaner lines. ink over top of the pencil lines so that they're solid black, and clean(ish).

2) get rid of the pencil shading, and intead of shading just black and white, use darker or lighter values of the same color. if you're going for a real comic-y look, try using some gradients for smooth colors.

hope it all works out for ya!

Yep! Seph: It's like Collosimo says, clean up
your act, er...art, (the pencil marks)then do
the shadows in the same colors only a darker shade, and you'll be on your way...It's a good drawing, that as you stated, you filled out in color...I do the same over my ink scribbles. It's .

My suggestions:

Try to have three tones of color.

For example, the yellow. Now, I see two tones. Light yellow, and yellow. I think it'll be nicer if a darker yellow color was added. Add also another tone of dark blue for the blue parts.
