I think Photo refrence is by far the best way to make sure your drawings look correct.
Try and order yourselfs a Tony Stone IMAGES catalogue, or DigitalVision, i have phone numbers if any 1 is interested, they are basicly books (catalogues) full of photographs and digitaly enhanced photos, VERY usefull.

Hey cool...I'm glad to see that some more people have taken interest in this thread .

Ragnorak - I wouldn't be too surprised if you did have the reference photo for that last one I did. I'm trying to move away from photo references, but I've found that constantly looking at and trying to reproduce photos has really helped me know where certain things should go.

Irulan - thanks for posting

Superhero - haha...

InsaneDave - Great pic...I don't see anything wrong with the feet...and much better than I could do in 30 minutes :P

Arniemg - thanks for your pic, and the hands/feet mini-tutorial

Starseed - yeah, I was actually thinking of posting a male just to shake things up :P. I find my nude pics all over the net. A great resource is http://www.fineartnude.com
I just wouldn't want to sign off on these pics as though they were mine since there are probably strict copyrights on the original photographs.

Since more people are taking interest...I might try to do another

I feel that drawing from life is the way to go. you can learn more that way. don't get me wrong. drawing from a photo is ok, for practice on technique with the tool in hand. but it becomes a copy problem. the integrity of the artwork becomes questionable when just copying.

It takes practice and skill when the artist is the one figuring out how to translate a three-dimensional object into two-dimensional pictorial space. it doesn't take skill to press a button on a camera and let the camera do the translating.
I am not trying to make any of you feel bad. I hope none are offended and feel accused of copying. I am just trying to voice my opinion.
maybe i can do another study today...

I do. Whenever I come home there are naked women in my room. It's annoying.

Nice quick and roughly drawn scetches there, but is the first 1 male or female?, or is it a shemale?

Lol, I thought he particularly asked people to not post old stuff but make new ones to learn something :)

Still, they're good poses.
