Here's a couple quickies I did for fausts thread...critique if you want, but no more work will go into these. Anyway, I open this thread for anyone who wants to post anatomy studies...quick or otherwise!
Bring in the nudes!
[edit]I want you to draw people! So don't just post old pre-made pics...learn or do something new!

Hi!
I'm no expert in anatomy or anything... but the first woman's (her)left breast looks a little deformed and almost as if it was made of metal. The other pics are great and they look quite correct to me.

Thanks for your reply Jim. I know the first one looks goofy as hell - I did it in about 20 minutes give or take a couple on a slow ass computer with a mouse. The second I spent a bit longer on, and the third I spent a bit more time on as well. Kinda cool to see the improvement from pic to pic eh?
Anyway...go paint some nudes!

Starseed: of course, think about people in art class doing this stuff...don't they use reference?

The improvement between the pictures is very noticeable Alloy. They look nice! I've got one coming up soon too! =)

Jezebel, only think I can say is the fold of the leg looks like perhaps it's at the wrong angle.
Alloy, looking much better! Have you started using your graphire yet? You have to get used to it and that takes a while (took me a month or so of light use). |

Heh, really interesting to see. The first one is neat, but as some people pointed out, there are some obvious mistakes in it (but hey, for a quick drawing, it's still great). The second is much better.
And the third I /really/ like. Nice composition and all. Maybe her waist is a wee bit too thin? It makes it look like she's got really huge shoulders (talking about the girl to the left here)... Also, she's kind of leaning towards the left. I know it's just a quick image, but I really like it... and I think it'll be even sweeter if you fix it up a bit

Hybrid: thanks...I tried using my graphire last night...but the computer was having issues with that . Time for a rebuild I think.
Enayla: Thanks for your compliments! I would love to see what you could contribute to this thread...
I agree with you about the third one, I was thinking myself of going back and fixing that one up .
I'm currently working on another...well, about to start another anyway...Should be posted within an hour or two...
Paint nudes people! I really think this thread could generate some great art

I think I posted him here once before, in a thread about negative space. Okay, so his anatomy is largely made up, because I did it years ago, before I got a decent anatomy book, (can I be arsed to look in a mirror? hell no.) but since you did ask...

I hate posting sketches
Or studies
But I'm doing that now anyway, because I've been asked :/
This be a quick anatomy study where I couldn't get her stupid legs right (nor her left hand)... So I'm leaving it at that.
(edit) trying to get the damn pic to show

You didn't have to do one Enayla :P, but I'm glad you did...it looks great!
Here's another one...wasn't exactly quick...this one turned out to be really difficult - at least for me.

That last one looks really cool Alloy! I like it
Glad to see that Slightly Twisted and Enayla decided to post a couple of figures in your thread as well. I agree that you could probably get some wonderful artwork out of this is people would post! I might do another one just to keep this thread going :>

here's one i did a two years ago. i know there's problems with it...
i heard some of you saying that hands and feet gave go problems. 1] draw mittens. not fingers. 2]then divide the joints. 3] then put the fingers where you want. i hope that helped out. here's a pic, that i hope will show you what i mean.

All I can say is thank god both the guys and the girls are more inclined to post female nudes. That's all I have to say about that.
-mt
PS. I took 1, yes 1, life drawing class a few years ago and I'd have something to post, except all of my 'studies' were done on large newsprint paper.
PPS. Those of you who did you photo references, where did you find them? on the net or in books? I'd be interested in acquiring some well-lit photographed nudes so I could work on my figure sketching . . .
