mike, hope you don't mind me repainting like that your original post. great expression you did first. I starting tweaking over it and there it is : it's very autoportrait by rembrand, probably due to the the palette you used first. or the expression. or because I like his work a lot. anyway.
I'll try to post more this month

thats good at least he still gave the person the upmost credit with the orginal features
I can't really notice the differnce tho,
over than the hand seems to be more dirty !!

why don't you paint your own picture? If I was micke I was smack you. He'll probably say he doesn't mind and it's "great". but that's kinda lame and annoying to screw with someone elses painting. I find it insulting.

I don't mind that people use the pic as a base. Many people have done that here and i find it useful and interresting + i can learn from it.
I would mind however if someone just snatched it without asking, changed it
slightly and not giving me credit and then displaying it on their site like that Binder/Krondor character did.

Originally i was actually thinking of showing more of the body, but i
went for the face instead. It's nice to see how it could turn out.
The body and the rest added blends in nicely with the head

The only thing i can see
is that maybe his shoulders could be wider?
And maybe less space over his head.
