actually, i will give more specific crits... the scans always seem to be resized way to big. They are blurry and messy.. the text seems to be thrown in as an afterthought.. honestly, what does this have to do with pride? it sure doesn't make me think "wow, this looks like the graphical representation of pride!"

just to add to that, at least i create from the scratch and get results out of that, without having to rely complex material like photographs of cities for example, to get something out of it.

photo manipulation is still utter shit, it's just that, manipulation, as a poor substitute to creating since you seem to be incapable of that.

i don't even know why i care so much, i've yet to find out why photo-manip-inlackofotherideasandcreativity disgusts me so much.

your so called photomanipulation falls to the "whatever seen it 10000 times back in '96" cathegory. it has nothing to it. you even fucked up the nin logo and made it look less than good.

again i say it, spitfire's photo manipulation crap looks alot better and i almost like it, he does something that looks a bit different and puts more work on it than just overlaying photos and changing the layer blending modes.

yours are far from that.

-bunch of photorape in 5 minutes
-"fuck shit motherfucker" -wannabe whatevertypography on top of raped photos
-messy pile of shit that could be done in 10 minutes except it'd take time to re-create them since most likely most of the stuff is random results from the filter rape phase
-the message? "i can't do anythjng else so i put together 20 photorapes per day and call it deep art and refuse to realize maybe even once i should listen to someone else"
-original? i've yet to see something original from you that hasn't been done about 4 years ago when these things started appearing more and more

I'm gonna start by saying that I don't particularly like the piece and can't really understand it.

But I don't think that makes the work any less valid.

Faust, I don't agree with your views on photo manupulation. If done well, it's still art. Dave McKean has raised it to high art.

You're entitled to your opinions and I think it's fine with all of us if you don't like SplitSoul's work (or even SplitSoul). But I don't think that entitles you to go raging on like you've done on a public discussion forum. It's just not what I came here for.
