Nice work, did you use illustraot or Freehand to do it?
Well since you start of with so much detail, is very hard to make similar realistic hair. In my experience anyway.

Look at this page, its my various attamp to do the hair. This bugs me cause I know it can be done, I have seen it. I just don't know how. |

got a link? I'm kinda new to the boards.
this was done if photoshop. i sketched out the face in pencil, scanned it, and then blocked in the basic shapes before rendering. mostly freehand. |

just use the pen tool in freehand the way you would the brush in photoshop.. |
