Hi.
Here's a concept drawing of a character that'll be in an 3d-animated short me and a friend are working on.
She's supposed to be about 14 years old, and the setting is some city (probably Stockholm or Helsinki) in a distant future, about 2400 AD.
As you can see I haven't fully drawn her hands yet. And I don't draw much freehand (except for painting textures) so I'm sure there are numerous anatomical errors. I know her right leg (our left) is a little bit too long. I'm sure that's not all though... but I haven't put that much time on her.
She's only concept art for myself and my friend anyway.
C&C is appreciated.

I like it. Only things I can see that kinda irratates me is that right hand of her... the way she has it out there... doesn't really look like a natural or comfortable pose with it like that. Maybe she will be holding something in the final but I don't know (a sign like the coyote's[looney toons] perhaps?). Her neck is a little long I beleive hehe but with how skinny she is and stick like... it kinda fits with her. That's all the problems I have with it that I can see now and comment on (while I have time). Good job, post the final up when your done! Good luck ![](images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif) |

Correct me if I'm wrong but she doesn't seem to be painted in a japanimation style. I have a wierd feeling that her eyes are just waaaay too big. Unless this is exactly what you're going for. I just think if her eyes were more proportinate she would look sweeter. Maybe thats just me.
Please show us the final at some point!
cheers! |

Thanks for the CC.
Yeah her hands don't look very natural. I just added something to the line art before posting it here so she wouldn't be completely hand-less (before, she had nothing there). I'll fix that.
And yes she is influenced by japanese manga or "japanimation". Let me make that clear - I'm not opting for a realistic look. The animated short I'm working on will have a semi-cartoony look, just to make it easier to texture (and so small errors could be blamed on the artistic style).
