No one has really replied to this and I know how it feels sometimes :P
First off I kinda like the pose but... I have a big problem with the anatomy you have set up there... it looks like a phsyco alien version of popeye :P maybe you might have been goin for that, i'm not sure who knows hehe. Bit of advice is maybe buy a book on basic human anatomy... maybe a Lumis book or Dridgman's Complete Guide to Drawing from Life might help. You don't really need to know every parts name or anything like that (well unless you're doing art for a medical group :P) but you just need to know the basic structure of a body and the basic features (such as shapes of arms, legs, torso, chest)... trust me, it isn't as hard as it sounds and just for sketching purposes it comes in handy to know how they fit (unless you're doing a kermit the frog on steroids which would be cool but you wouldn't necessarily need to know human anatomy) rofl maybe frog anatomy for that :p but uhm ya :) also shading would help you out. Again... constructive critisism here hehe but the shading on the character needs alot of work on it. Go in the bathroom and turn off all the lights... get a ball or object, a small flashlight, shine it from one angle at the object and just see the differences between light and dark on the object and notice how the surfaces create a refraction on the object (well in some cases not all) or how transparent objects (like a marble) look in the light. I might be rambling on a bit but I am just blurting out stuff I think would help :p. Also with the tablet, try recreating previous drawings (to help get the feel of how the tablet is)... it helped me out some but then again also just every day use gets you better. Ok, I talk too much :) if anyone wants to comment on how wrong I am or whatever feel free :) and if this is helpful to you, then my job here is done hehe :) goodluck!
[My Edit-->] Oh I almost forgot... this would be very helpful if you don't have much money to spend on hobbies (unless it's going to be your future) on expensive books...
I take no credit for this link. Someone posted it in another topic (which was a good link btw whoever it was ;) here it is
