alright please give me comments and critiques. i just started this and ive spent about 6 hrs on it. Yes it is me and no i havent added my hair yet, i was thinking i might make my hair grass. please give me some ideas as to where i should go with this peice. it is a self portrait, i am into art but mainly i wanted it to be focused on someone i recently met and who has grown dear to me, i might make a portrait of her in the stars.

and a quick detail shot for the stars

whoa dude! holy shiat this is sweet. i love the backdrop, the scenery is so rad.
hmm now for the crits, the wind/clouds doesnt look so right. i think it got killed when you saved it in jpg (perhaps it wasnt at a highenough quality level) outer space was done very well, but it seems so empty. maybe throwin in a couple moons or sumtin to spaz it up. oh yea and, LEAVE HIM BALD!!! that way the pic has a better wow factor. i mean hey, the guy is growin out of a wooden post[?] dont ruin the mood. adding a hidden constellation is a great idea, just dont make it the center of attention. hide it so it becomes an easter egg.
lastley, um what is that thing to the right of the guy?

lol thanx mom , and thanx jimmy , and thanx gigatron , i thought that well yes leaving the head bald will create a better 'WOW' when people see it, but those 2 blocks there represent attachments in my life, they arent technically arms , i will be adding some on his right side also but not the same as the other side. I am having some second thoughts about he landscape tho because it doesnt quite seem to work well.

oh ya and jimmy go check on your bros monitor (yours)

Oh ya (edited) I ONLY used mouse on this one, i dont have a tablet (crys) and i didnt scan any drawings i just went at it like a crazy artist

..

It would be cool if you had a path of grass coming in from the horizon and ending up on the top of your head as hair

This looks like a landscape on the moon to me.... a bleak, desaturated wasteland. How about you looking up on colourful earth? Would make a nice contrast.

Fresh idea, keep it up

wow. i really like it. very differnt from what i was expecting to see when i clicked on the thread.

I think the shading on his head could be a bit darker. not quite as dark as the lower half of his body though. I also think the terrain could use more texture to it. i think it looks to smudgy right now, but again. it's looking really good so far.

and on a side note. i keep seeing more and more people from B.C. here. from Abbotsford even. glad i'm not the only one

Katherine, Daddy's gf, says that it's awsome and when I said that I thought the blocks of wood look out of place she totaly disagreed with me. She thinks you're doing a great job and encourages you to continue
