I continue the work on the b-day present for my friend (now two days past) and I need some quick comments on it. Mainly I want some feedback on the girl in the center. If anything else looks wrong let me know. Keep in mind that I haven't added my highlights yet so all of the lights produce nothing. All of the shading is done in Painter 7 and it is really the first time I have used it extensively so I need feedback there also! Thanks!

alright, the girls left arm is too big and her neck is too small.
Look at the right hand - the middle finger is normally longer than the others
Also her hipp is to small, etc
To get the right proportion go to one of these sites:
Human anatomy loomis
Manga, but very helpful for beginners.
polykarbon
the teddy is really cute

Thanks for the comments... the middle finger is as good as fixed (thanks, it looked horrible). That on arm is not "too big" if you look at it right but is in fact just proportioned badly, I am shortening the upper arm and lenghtening the forearm and now it looks OK. As to the hips, they are a little flat but otherwise dead-on for the person I am drawing.
But of course thanks for the help and I will be posting the final pic for you all to tear apart soon! |

OK, here is my "final" version. I believe it is done and it has a very nice dirty look that I was going for. I wanted to make this look like a mixed-media of some pencil sketch and acrylics and I think it comes off well. Hope you like and thanks Max for the help!
