I've gone through several stages to reach this point but am slightly disappointed that it looks like a comic book picture.

I suppose with more detail, background, and highlights it'll begin to look better... sigh... hard work.

Any pointers (c&C) would be appreciated!

Hi Thrak!

I did a little overpaint on his head because I can't describe what I mean in englsh.
Hope you don't mind.
I am not a master myself but I would do it like this.

Maybe that helps you.

hello, i have the same problem but when coping pasting url it work (i created a htm page with my pic the resolve)
Your model is good but your should shade more the colors(burn them ) make shadows, and mix others colors (green perhaps) with your pic and texture (it must high resolution to get cool result )
make a lightat the right it will be cool.
sketch very cool you must continue it
good luck

Hey man, for it to look real you need to define some light sources. Right now you can't tell where the light is coming from. Pick a few spots as light sources and then try and figure out where the highlights and shadows would be.
