Hey. Working on a commissioned character portrait here...
any tips on the background/environment before i do the characters? opinions?
heres an older version, deemed to 'dark'

The second one is definetly too dark but re-usable for something else...? <great expectations >
I don't know, there seems something odd about the lightning in the mountains and the lighting on the fields. Well, they're far apart, so I guess it doesn't matter.
Or maybe a touch of yellow/orange on the mountains? Hm...

The only thing my beginner brain can see is that maybe the mountains being so bright might detract from the portrait. I think you know better than me though. |
