I now begin to see the value in knowing the real basics before you start to experiment..

Yes I have and that's f******* awesome man. I usually just spend 3 hours beating my head against the wall b/c it feels more productive than drooling

. I love the technique. Is that pencil or pen? I'd love to be able to crosshatch like that. Good job.

They're both pencil.. I just adjusted the hue/saturation.. Dunno why, I just think it gets a 'cooler' look, instead of that cold gray..

lol I guess drooling is a result of beating your head agains the wall and not coming up with something productive.. Hehe.
