Hey guys. I have two images posted.
The first is a sketch I did last night at 3am, after playing Final Fantasy X again, lol. Sorta inspired me. It is still a VERY rough sketch. I am having a lot of problems with perspective with this guy. His upper torso/chest area seems a little skewed. And I am having a HORRIBLE time with his face, especally the mouth area. Trying to give him that feral look. If you have any help, please let me know, and a sketch-over for the persepctives would help a lot! He's a warrior type of individual. The character of Kimahri from FFX was obviously a major point of reference, I just loved his build and appearance. Sort of a tribal clansman that fights for his honor, but shuns the extreme violence of his heritage.
Also, the second one is something I did two weeks ago. Kind of skimpy on the detailing, but I stopped drawing at one point. C&C VERY welcome and needed.

Doing good.
Hold on as i pretend to be an artist...
Okay, the first picture; the upper body is good but the legs need reworking as they are off balance with the rest of the body. The characters weight is not resting on either of his legs, so yo could either straighten out the right or bring the left into a position where it mirrors the right instead of being placed limply off to the side. Also the crotchcloth (whatever they call that)is not hanging like it is fully effected by both gravity and his legs.
The other; your inking is quite nice, i particularly like the cloth. Her hand is a little small and the sword handle far too small for her even now. Also the facial features a slanted to her right. Otherwise your proportions seem just about spot on. |

Thanks for the crit. I've been having a lot of trouble with the legs and getting the position right. The knees seem to be too in-turned. I'll try to fix it tonite. |

Here's my crit,
Guy:
As said above the stance isn't quite right looks like he's about to fall over from a wound in his lower back. If you want him to be up on his toes like a bi-ped goat type character then you might want to have his upper body sit down more to centre his balance.
I think there might also be a little problem with the perspective of the chest relative to the inked areas.
Chick:
As mentioned above the handle is way too short. A big thick sword like that would have a long handle(about from the hilt to her hip) to counter balance the weight of the blade and allow to be wielded with two hands.
The mouth on the face could be sifted to the left about 2-3 pixels and the whole left side of her face (our right) should be brought in a bit too.
The feet don't quite look right either.
The cloth looks fantastic and so does the rest of her clothing.
Regards,
Impus.

Well, I did a complete re-draw of the warrior, repositioned his legs, and filled out his form a lot better I think. Please let me know how this one is over the last, and if there is anything I can do to fix it/make it better.
Again, its still has a LOOOOOONG way to go!
Also, I was thinking about giving him wings (as you can see by the sketch), do you think this is a good idea?
