I think that her left arm is a little thin, and the face could be a little rounder. Try looking at pictures of people in other perspectives and it should help. Good job so far.

main problem i see in this pic is that the lineart is very bad. It's hard to do good lineart with tablet (atlest for me with my trusty shit). Solution:

1. draw with pencil -> scan it -> work on scanned pic in ps

or

2. forget about linerat, block in main shapes and develop them

i'm watching youre stuff and i can see some improvement so the pic overaly is good and the photo it self is pretty cool. I think i will draw it myself tommorow so maybe i post it here if you got nothing against that.

It's 100 percent mouse and I don't have a scanner !
ODD please post the pic if you draw it... I'm actually sort of curious!
Glad you like the photo.
Drift Kid Runner, I don't agree with the arm. I think it's just the angle
As far as the face is concerned...maybe again the lineart comes into play? Too bad thats not an easy fix

Thats the pic without the lineart-layer. As you can see I'm working pretty sloppily ;(
(I guess I should not press that add reply button)

Hi Andy,...you know that girl is thin...I am not sure you painted her arm too thin, not by much if so. Otherwise, I agree with the prior C&C. In addition: in your pic the line of her eyes is not perpendicular with the center line of her face.
Actually, I like the "sans lines" version a little better. Since you have a mouse, try working with as a high resolution as possible. Also, to get your shapes down, try using bezier curves with the "pen tool" (you are using PhotoShop?) Play around with the curves until you get the desired shape and then "stroke" the curve (don't get carried away...*ahem* stroking j/k) with the desired color. This is time consuming but will prevent the shaky mouse effect. I hope that helps Keep at it, man, don't quit!

Wow cptoonz...your critiques rule big time!!! Please keep it up. Yes I'm using the GIMP so it's almost PhotoShop
I think I'll read everything again carefully lots of times. 'bout the stroking ... maybe I should draw environments

I think I'll get back to basics (pencil) and I won't finish this one! I tried but it doesn't seem to work out just yet!
Thanks (a) (l)oDD, btw!
(He actually did send an email with a kickass picture and tips when the forums were down)
