If this is going to go anywhere it should be in the Work in Progress section. |

my god, you got some harsh comments.
Please let me tell you that not EVERY
body here is such an ass.
When i first saw your painting i recognized
alot of things i do myself. So when I
say that your off to a good start (really)
and obviously you need to define the
edges and add some texture along
with some more dramatic lighting (glints
off the metal) and such. I know where
your coming from. This reminds me of
alot of my work.
the cool thing is, as I stated above. This
is off to a great start. Now finish it. Thats
all that needs to be done and I get a
sence that you'll know when your there.
@;0)
excellent.
Oh yea, nice job for your first one,
holy cow.

Maybe you shouldn't post your WIP here unless you have a more specific question
To me this sounds like "admire me or turn this into a masterpiece"
Edit: ref. from a pic in the gasmask thread
Asking for tips on coloring doesn't make sense then, does it?

Hi SdrawkcabkooL,
I would recommend getting your whole sketch laid in, loosely, at first. You have started rendering stuff before the drawing is complete, and it is just hard to tell where things are going. He does appear to be a little, uhm, chubby, though, for a soldier (although, I have known some pretty chubby soldiers, so this may have been intentional, please disregard if so). Hope that helps |
