I don't know that the background is too bright..but a different color would make the foreground figure stand out more. Especially a cool color (blues, purples...etc.)

hhmmm, yes, well, I believe all previous critiques have points...the white is bit bright, and cool colors for the BG would provide nice contrast. right now the BG color is almost the same as the treant (which you probably know, and I have now established that I have a firm grasp of the obvious). Now depending on if you were going to bring leaves in (and I am assuming you are) a nice shift in the BG color, with cool on the bottom, shifting gradually upward to warm would I think, work nicely Keep it up!

excuse me, it really is nice work on the treant, he is well textured, rendered, and well, he looks like a treat! Rock on, tally ho, and all that!!!
