Is he good or evil?
There ares some shadings missing at the "things" in the picture i.e. his chains, his hammer, his trousers etc.
How about using torches on the walls and making really weird looking shadows? The light as is right now is too... hm, flat might be a good term but not really the word I'm looking for. |

Yes... His pants, hammer, and chains are not yet shaded because I haven't started shading them yet...
Might actually use the torch idea... Not a bad idea...

Hi,
Nice style, so far, I like it You're making a nice transition from the drawing to the painting, it seems...I never seem to be able to "paint my way out of the pencil sketch", if you will. Anyway, conceptually, he does seem confident for a slave (unless of course he has just escaped!) I think torches would be cool, as well. In addition (and you may already have this planned) but some indication of gold, or gems, or something that he would be mining would add to it, I think. He does appear to be a "mine slave" to me |
