This is a nice model, but my first impression was that it looked too "rounded" to be a realistic weapon, and then I read that you modeled it from a spawn figure--which kinda explains it.
If you want the toy look, then it's fine. But if you want a more reali-life look, I'd sharpen up some edges, and deepen some lines..etc. |

Not to knit-pick (and I know it's from a source) but...
I'm trying to imagine how you'd wield the weapon. It'd be so front-heavy in it's current orientation that to hold it you'd have to depress what looks like the trigger mechanism.
Also, there appears to be a butt... intended for the hip maybe? The rear handle would be too close to manipulate if the butt is against the shoulder.
Now, if it were turned upside-down...then it would fit about right.
Still, an incredible render of a formidable weapon. I'm simply agog. |

well...uhmmmm...poly count...errr well all i will say is that there are 146 seperate pieces and no textures or bump maps in use.
but the total poly count is embarrassingly high. |

Hmm... Really a nice model... It's not your problem cause u used a reference to model it but that gun really has some problems i think...
1. To hold that gun so it wont fall down you need to hold the front handle with a strong touch ( right word? ) but that's impossible cause it's the handle with the trigger so if you would grap it you would fire the weapon. A good solution could be a strap/belt but that's just me
2. Never had a real minigun in my hands... *aww * Just saw them on pictures and movies but i think the idea of it is to gain the enormous firepower by using "normal" rifles ( barrel, mechanics to gain bullet, fire it and then throw out the shell ) that reload fast which is done by just turning the 6 barrels ( minigun ) so every one of the rifles gets a bullet from the static ammobelt. Your gun doesn't have those mechanics seperated for each barrel that normally do that job so i think its the work of just one of these mechanics which doesn't make sense for me... ( sorry i'm sometimes a nitpick )
3. The big clip that goes straight down is for the minigun so the small clip is for the single barrel? shouldn't you then mount it a little bit more down like the big one?
( you could make a flamethrower out of it and it would be okay )
But all in one the gun looks damn good! Good work! |

many thanks for all of the comments...yes i agree that the gun is deffenetly not something that would happen in the real world based on the design of the toy, like some said 'to many barrels' and so on. heh but like i said just saw it and thought it looked like something that would be a challenge to model and a good add-on to my site of wierd fantasy model weapons. The action figure came with 3 other wierd guns that i plan on taking a stab at modeling..all of which are crazy and would never meet the realitys of a working gun...but they should be fun to do nonetheless.
many thanks once again for all the comments
