Hello,

This is my first art post in this wonderful forum. I'm a very amateur artist, and I've been practicing with figure drawing using Andrew Loomis' _Figure Drawing: For All It's Worth_ as my central text (glomps Andrew Loomis ). Some of you may recognize the basic pose that inspired me to make the drawing below.

Er it's basically a finished drawing ('cause I've already deleted the .psd/.rif files). But I was wondering if any of you can tell me how to smoothly incorporate lineart to make it seem as if it was part of the coloring...? Er sorry, I'm not exactly sure how to phrase the question better.

This is a common problem for me, and I don't know how to go about it. My first attempt to make something where the lineart isn't visible is below.

...as you can see, the results weren't good -_-.

I know some artists sometimes go about painting without the complete line art of their work, but I can't manage this. I tried to erase the line art altogether by slapping on color on a layer and erasing it bit by bit to follow the shape of the line art, but that turned out messy as well.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read this!
