Hey, this is an excellent example of what I was speaking of about critiquing.
Dude, just ignore them. I give people accurate critical assesments and take flames while the "established" throw out total crap.
This looks pretty good. You might not want to use black outlines or use them more sparingly. Although, I think if you worked on this "stye" you might get something.
But remember 3d shapes.. remember that "line" is created when two areas of high contrast meet or two areas of difference color. Rememeber that "line" is usually used to denote "shade".
Keep working. Like, I always say keep the critiques tht benefit you and throw the rest out. |

I think it's a great image, espicially if you made it entierely with photoshop. I don't think she looks like Alba though..
The eyes looks fine to me, I think the mouth is, ok how do you say that in english, well too much like angelina Jolie.
I love the eyes, I wonder how you did them so they look to have so much personnality/life.
An impressed Blackz! |

Now if only you could do what you say you are doing (which is great) without sounding so incredibly arrogant each time, Light...

light pretty much nailed the stuff here, i'll add that the right eye is sloped. also, the outlines aren't that bad, there are just two that don't seem to fit. the one on the bridge nose, the left one. it's an area of bright light and the outline isn't really necessary there. same thing with the left (our left) side of the mouth.
have you tried changing the colour of the background? this way it's giving the pic somewhat monochromatic looks; maybe that's what you wanted, tho.
jus' trying to help.
cheers |

Pretty good pic!
Id try to reduce the black outlines to a minimum. Especially the ones above her upper lip and around her upper nose-area. (between the eyes...dont know how to call that part of the nose. )
Maybe Id try to add some more contrast to her face and hair, by adding some shadows to the lighter side of her face and some even darker areas to the shadows youve allready got.
I really like the eyes, although the right one seems, like its rotated a few degrees clockwise and a bit lower than the left one.
Anyway... Looks pretty good so far. |
