Basement Bound,
As you said. These are sketches.
We cannot actually crit on them since they boast nothing but sketches.

try to work on them more.

I beg to differ. If that was the case we would not Critique until we are at our final project. Right now you could Critique the compostion, choice of colour, mood, time of day(light), point of view, topic, visual element used, the mode in which subject was presented.....
I could go on and on. Maybe I could ask for some thoughts(which really are critiques, just not agressive ones).

Kind of hard to crit when we don't know what you're going for. Is it a cartoon? Realistic? I can't really help you out if it's a cartoon.

Let me just say that they have nothing in common with each other. They are all independant for each other. Just some ideas I was kicking around for some paintings I thought I might do. Not all that complicated guys. I sketched them using colours, they are work in progresses, before I go and do them in good I want to make sure that I didn't have major mistakes in the concepts or if some one had a better way of approching them.

Perhaps a summary
#1 A Dinosaur as a pet in a yard
#2 A ship approching Skull island
#3 A head shaped rock on a clif looking over the sea side.

You may want to work on depth and shading...I think.

Bloodstone, thank you for the comment. That is something I do have to work on in my work. I just wish that (mind I say this in genral) members would make more of an effort when it comes to critiques. Perhaps the majority of people that are visiting do not have the education behind them to critique with gusto. I want to improve and feel that I have been, I just think that theres not a 'good' quality critiques being given.

Baahhhhhh, shut up
here is an update to the Jungle Rock Head.

And Teasure island

Trying to keep sizes smaller so that I can keep images up longer on the server. How big would you like them? I could clean up a few things and post larger versions.
