Quite nice.

A few notes though:

The countour is a bit ragged in places. Contour should be smooth. Check elbows, and legs especially.

Feet need more work (or seem to given the lighting).

Pelvis should be more straight (imo) but not neccesary.

If your going for dignity then head should be smaller.

Hey man, thats looking good. I woudn't worry about the contour, feet, or pelvis. The pelvis looks fine. I tend to think of the pelvis as a bit of a cup, because you can see where the muscles tend to hang over the ridge of the pelvis, which you have capture. The feet look good too, you might want to try and give the look of some viens on the feet if you want to go super detailed, feet are always very veiny cuz the muscles in the feet are used the most . And I think how the contour is sharp in some areas is a nice touch too, depending on where bones protrude on people, you will get those sharp edges (but double check on which bones do, I think the collar bone, elbows, pelvis, knees, shoulder blades, and ankle bones are the bones most likely to protrude).

The only thing thats really stirring me right now about the model is the legs, I'm guessing that you just havn't gotten around to shaping them more yet, but it clashes right now with the rest of the body. You have this very masculin defined upper body, and flabby looking legs. If anything legs should look more defined than the upper body

anyway, it's a good universal male model you've got there.

My this is a great 3d-model! I'm just beginning so I can't make any more comments than that. His penis seems awfully short though, but then again this looks like one of those greek statues so a small penis seems to fit just fine.

Wow, excellent! I love the arms and the hands and feet, the head... maybe the quads and kneecaps could be more detailed, the collar bones and the central crease on the abdomen seem a bit too well-defined (and perhaps the creases defining where the deltoid ends and the biceps begins). Also I think the horisontal crease above the navel goes too far to the sides?

I don't know anything about 3-D modeling, (I'm a Photoshop girl myself) but I think this is AWESOME. Really fantastic what you've done. It's amazing what can be done with 3-D software! (Do they have any good modeling software for the Mac? Not that I need any more irons in the fire right now, what with trying to figure out Photoshop, Illustrator, Painter, etc...)

There was one thing that stood out for me, and I hope you don't mind, I thought doing little paintovers was the best way to illustrate what I am getting at. I could be full of it, but I remember (for some reason) the deltoid lecture in my anatomy class particularly well. Please consult your own anatomy books, and see if you agree what I'm trying to say. And please forgive me if I am telling you something you already know!

The deltoid doesn't go all the way to the armpit area. And it doesn't attach to the bone at the side of the arm, but a little towards the front - just a little. I've done these (very sloppy, messy, crappy) illustrations to give you the idea:

I know I didn't do a very good job illustrating, and I know diddley about 3-D software. I almost didn't want to mention it, but then I thought - "What the hell!" Anyway, consult your own anatomy books, and see if you agree with this.

hey steven : thanks for looking and commenting, below is an updated version, ive tried to correct the things you mentioned...
(btw: the head was made whilst looking at an image of the level 0 version of your head model - to help me plot out the edge loops and where to add the detail- the skin made after reading your tutorial)

bearsclover: thanks for the paintover, it really does help, ive tried to correct that area in the latest version, hopefully it looks a little better.

its still a WIP, so any more sugestions anyone has are appreciated, the head isnt attatched yet and has a slightly different shader, which accounts for the fact it looks a little strange...
