I've been working on this one in Photoshop for ages and it doesn't seem to be going anywhere I'd like it to, so I thought I'd throw it in here and see if anyone can offer any ideas, paintovers or crits which I could use to make a new version of the painting.

btw for the guys that look and do not see a pic just cut and past to see it...

nice pic very action packed.. also hurts my eyes in a good way... it is bright and that makes it action packed.. a lot of movement. I would try to keep that look and not destroy it... so far it looks great.. Not sure what to change...

ILLUMINAT!!! I've been looking for those wood-cut illustrations everywhere!!!

Is the edition of your book still available? I'd really, really like to get a hold of those illustrations.

Thanks for crits too, the arm is wrapped the wrong way.

i don't think my edition is still around.

the illustrations of '20000 leagues under the sea' are by 'alphonse de neuville' & 'edouard riou'. try to get a copy used. i couldn't find any illustrated editions on amazon. maybe you can find a used one somewhere on the web...

try these links:
- french & spanish editions
- french editions
- about de neuville (french)
- the illustrators of jules verne's voyages extraordinaires (good one!)

[edit] typo
[edit 2] even more typos
[edit 3] added some stuff

It's looking good but I have to agree with previous post that the right armo seems a tad too long compared to the other one.

Lot of action though, which is good.
