You probably won't get into a fight. You're allowed to listen to whomever you so wish.

Uh.. Favorite bands.. I really like the 2.4-3.7 ghz range. The Alpha Omega Gamma channel is pretty cool, given the right filter. Sometimes the 1.325-2.43 nanohertz range is SORT of cool, but it has a lot of Pop. Damn the Pop.

Current Band list on Winamp:
Primus (first and foremost)
T.M. Stevens
FLA
The Dillinger Escape Plan
The Dead Kennedy's
Earth Crisis
Lords Of Acid (they suck)
Alpha & Omega
They Might Be Giants
NIN
Moby (christian techno electropop is fun!!! whee!)
Incubus
Deftones
Primus
KMFDM
MDFMK
Prodigy
Anal Cunt
Ministry
Bloodhound Gang
APC
Misfits.. . ..
Lots others. I'm too lazy to type.

This could get ugly... let's all be compassionate and let everyone express their opinions freely, shall we?

"Who is your favorite band?"

Favourite being singular. One above all others. Indecisive sheep, are you?

At various points in my excessively pointy life I've hand many different faves, some which have been mentioned here, and lots which haven't. Bands and people. Sometimes the power of one is undefeatable. But not often.

Current fave: Placebo. The most special lady in the world hit me over the head with them a while ago, and I've yet to recover. I shall continue to wear the scar with pride for the rest of my humble days, adorable lady or no adorable lady.

These bonds are shackle free. *sigh*

KMFDM stuff around the middle of their entire collection sounds like crap though. it's way too dancy and cheesy, at one point I think they stopped trying. But old KMFDM stuff is good. I used to listen to a lot of NIN and stuff but then I heard....aphex twin....

....It's like a drug, you can't stop.

Phillip Glass + Aphex Twin = my favorite "band"

Phillip Glass is amazing, Richard James can make a beat out of a fart.

I like Tool too, the salival boxed set was great, and Korn is good, no matter what anyone says; you have to admit, they have one of the most kick-ass bassist and drummer.

Waaah!

I can't pick any one band! That's impossible!

*digs around frantically among her favourite artists*

Agh!

Ack!

(Depends on mood and day really!)

Placebo?

NIN, Tool, Danny Elfman (he's not a band, but he rules!), APC...?

Gah...

Favourite would be a tie between BARRIT and CONVERGE. With Killswitch Engage coming in on a tight 2nd.

Have to agree with faust.. the Dillinger Escape Plan is probaly my favorite band, followed by candiria, and then Converge. Sorry though, earth crisis sucks. They used to be straight edge, and live by it, then they sold out and started drinking, lost their whole image (I'm not straight edge, I just hate hypocrites who forget who they are and how they got there. ;p) boston hXc

..Ozzy & Sabbath, the Misfits(1977-83), Skinny Puppy, Oingo Boingo/Danny Elfman, Mind Corrosive, Tool, Red Hot Chili Peppers/Jon Freshante, Janes Addiction, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, anything classical,..etc. Some newer ones are Bauhaus, Psychopomps, The Cure, Sex Pistols, and some others I can't seem to think of at the moment.

Krupps/KMFDM/NIN/Depeche Mode/Prodigy/Rammstein/rzte/Westbam/David Bowie/Takkyu Ishino/Faithless/RMB/Crystal Method

Add to that a lot of various progressive Techno

Edit: ARGS, forgot one of the greatest band ever: "Clawfinger", those guys rule

Edit2: Arg, another band I forgot, mainly because they have been assholes lately : Metallica. One of the best rock bands ever IMO, but damn those fuckers. Got me banned from Napster a little while back and I bought like 3 of their damn albums. Never ever again am I gonna buy their crap again.
