I cant really seem to colour in this sketch...im a newbie and i suck at rendering heaps bad...well the whole concept is a dying warrior sitting on a shore with his soul leaving his body...here u go

if anyone cold be bothered to like colour it in and give just a brief/detailed tutorial...much would be aprreciated cause im totally stuck!!
heres my first attempt at getting the basic colours done..

the soul is supposed to be orangish/glowish
kinda like final fantasy the movie..
well if anybody can help, thanx!

take the moon as your primary lightsource
>every object/element should have a blue-ish
color and a strong, dark shadow
secondary lightsource is the orange soul-thingie > keep the underlaying shadow/mooncolors visible -just add some
light glowing parts

Thuduil> Hardly "expert" advice, but here goes: I tried to make this as simple as possible for your convienience. I made a quick "tutorial" with 3 steps to show you a few things.

Generally, try to lay down areas of color rather than lines of color. Try also to get rid of the white canvas as it is irritating to look at. It spoils the illusion.

1. Lay down big areas of color. Don't draw lines, try to define a "mood", and this is hard if you only use lines.

2. Enhance your basic layout with more colors and more concepts. Don't go into detail too fast. Only when you feel satisfied with your basics, then start detailing.

3. Finishing the image. Add particles, glow etc. This can be done quite easily with a big soft brush.

Hope this helps.
