My second attempt to paint in photoshop. Inspired from the movie Lord of The Rings.
Dont mind the hair too much. It's kind of hard to draw hair with a regular mouse. The Elf ![](http://boblet.sytes.net/elf.jpg) |

Amazing... I get so frustrated when using a mouse; I really can't wait to get one of those wacom tablets.
My only crit is that the chin seems sunken in.
The stitching and the hair pin are great touches... Keep up the good work. ![](images/smiles/icon_wink.gif) |

nice stuff.
the eye could be less wide tho (it looks like the eye (esp. the iris) is seen from the front, with only the left half visible).
also, overlapping the ear over the hairpin would add some depth ;]
keep it comin' |

Elves are so yummy. Mrow. I'm a mouse-user too, so I feel your pain.
My feet do the walkin', but my pics do the talkin'!

Hey man, I have like zero free time, but I did a really disgusting paintover for you to try and illustrate the points I'm too busy to make. Mainly, play with your values more. Don't be scared of highlights and shadows. I only touched the face, and not the hair or garment. I think you also might want to look at some pictures of people with long hair to get a sense of how it acts around the ear/neck. Anyway, don't kill me:
