im not quite sure what you're trying to do here but i suggest you study from other resources having to do with the human anatomy(that is unless you,in fact, are going for a more cartoonish look)but practice your planning more with circles, squares, and cylinders to get the form more symmetrical.

Aw, she's totally cute.

First of all, a little internet tip: All black and white line-art should be saved as a gif. Not only does this make the dial-up users happy, but it keeps the line-art nice & sharp and avoids those annoying jpeg spots.

If I were you, I'd keep the stylized face and pants. Very nice.

The major problems seem to be in her torso and arms. Somebody get that girl a hamburger! I've seen skinnier skeletons in science class!

Take a gander at this pic:



(Yeah, I know this girl is very skinny too. But at least she has some flesh on her bones. ) Notice how she has light muscles on her arms. Paying attention to these muscles is what makes an arm look less like a stick and more like a real arm.

Also the breast were a bit on the crooked side, as was the torso itself. I centered it a pinch in this paintover to show what I mean:

Nice concept. sketchy. I think that the torso is too thin, even if she is wearing a corset(sp?) she would be wider at the top and bottom. Though on the other had she could be a skinny girl, and in that case there still could be a few things that could be changed.
