Realy nice feel to your style!!
I would have liked to see him taller though...
The clumbsy boots and the raygun seem totally wrong to me also. But that was just what I imagined before scrolling down, so it's really not a critique of the character, but rather a preconception in me.
More info on the subject is needed if a more detailed critique is to be given
Good job, though. I like your style

it seems like instead of a ray-gun he should have some kind of mechanical rosary. if you made the book a little bit thicker and the robes longer and more flowing it might also increase the priest effect. |

I like it, very creative and good perspective, I love the gun but I'm afraid it has no place in the pic, unless there is a story behind it, good luck with finishing it! |

EXCELLENT!
Only the sleeves need a bit more work, try reference there.
(And I agree with Sukhoi he would look even cooler taller.) ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

Thanks all!!
Well... this started out as a doodle and the doodle evolved... so many of your good questions dosn't have good answers!
A lot of you would like to see him taller.. that's funny... maybe your right... though i sort of like him compact like he is.
Yes I know the raygun and the big clumbsy boots look weird in the picture, and that's why I like them... but the finish on the overall pic should be more alike, so they fit better together...
The story behind this guy... hmm... there wasn't any before, but now he's beginning to grow... For now, he'll be my comment to all the ugly wars being fought in the name of religion
But I reckon, that in a day or two... some of his friends will turn op and a story will evolve ;-)
I'll try to tighten up the rope and look for some reference for the sleeves!
Thanks again for your nice comments =)

it reminds me "cyberpapacy" that was a game supplement for TORG (a cyberpunk RPG...)
Really nice!

pretty much most of what I was going to say have already been said, but hey I'll say them anyway: I love the shadows across his face and neck. Looking at real cloth and how it falls would help your sleeves and robe, I think. I LOVE the gun AND the boots, contrary to what others have said. First off, he's a cyborg -- and what cyborg doesn't have a gun? eh? heh heh. PLUS he's a priest, and guns make all priests cooler (*cough* WOLFWOOD *coughcough*). Hm...what else to say? Color choices are cool, I see that you've pretty much with an RYB scheme instead of say an RGB -- which I point out only for the sake that, because these images are of light that is projected instead of bouncing off objects, I think that the color primary scheme that looks best is the one of light (namely RGB). But then again, that might just be a personal preference. In fact, I think in the case of your cyborg, yellow works better than green anyway, so nevermind hehehe. Maybe something to try in a different piece?

Awesome concept I love the head piece...like he's wired in to god's frequency or somthing lol! My only gripe is about his nose area...somthing doesn't feel right... I think the "pin holes" give the impression of freckles which gives him a younger appearance... or I may be crazy.
Otherwise very cool indeed. ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |
