wow, that's beautiful! great job!
one teensy weensy little nitpick, is that it looks like she's missing her right tooth. maybe put a hint of one right in that black space in her mouth?
i really like it, very warm feeling. |

This came out *way* harsher than I meant it to be. The picture is just so beautiful and photo-realistic that the teeny, tiny flaws stand out.
Standard disclaimer: This is just my opinion, yadda yadda yadda.

This is a wonderful work! Lips are marvelous, the eye is so alive and the rest seems so real! I'm deeply impressed!
you said you used photoreference! Would you share the real picture and speak about how you processed your work to have such a result? I'll be so interested to know! |

Sure. I'll give it a shot! :P

thats v6.0. I'll change some proportions for sure. My version is not identical to the ref. Far from it acctually.
I did my best though for beeing my first time ever painting something from a photoreference
here's the ref asked for!
http://www.dkcp.com/mindgamer/ref.jpg
I scetched the photo down in a new window.
I then painted a base color for hair, face, eyes and mouth in different layers.
I then took "color" samples from the photo source to get the right color variations.
I used airbrush and dodge/burn tool in small portions, til i got the desired transitions
I did "some smudge" when i thought it was the best option; compared to paint new color transitions with airbrush.
Then you know the rest..Editing. I continued to erase and add detail til i was somewhat happy with the proportions and likeness.
I acctually used "2" filters in the creation of this picture. I used noise and then blur more on that noice, then made that layer 50% transperant. I deleted the blured noice from the hair, lips, eyes and nose. I think this had a very realistic impact on my skin texture.
Now when I compare both of them I feel I've alot of work left to do. To make the proportions more alike(I think that matter was caused by me beeing sloppy while making the scetch).. ....yes indeed
, although both propotions work

I gave it a slight touch. I gave her abit more natural color in the eye and nose section. I fixed some propotion errors aswell
I've learned one big mistake out of this one. To always make that good and solid scetch before you start to paint.
hehe. I still think the quick drawing threads rock. While i was waiting for a download to finish I painted this 5 min zombie!
thx guys
