hey,
i know, it's just a thumbnail. I'm gonna be doing a large painting (i've been saying that for months now) and this is the idea I came up with. I dunno if I like it or not.

btw, in case it's hard to tell, it's some girl leaning against some rocks. there's little 'waterfalls' all around, and a kiddie is standing in one of them being splashed by water.... there's the creek behind them, the forest, the bridge, etc. |

well, there is always different point of views on composition. I like it, but it's not really exiting..... what I would do, is probably move the bridge to the right...., and make the threes a bit closer, and higher.... It's no law telling you to paint the whole three in the painting.
I spend alot of time on composition my self...and this was my 2 cents...
(sorry if the spelling is terrible) |

It all depends on what you want to say with the picture.
Try different things. Have the picture framed by a few trees. Or a rock in the foregrounds. Make them smaller. Move the camera to right above the water. or to above the subjects.
See what those things do. Right now the composition is ok but it doesn't really say anything. It could be much more exiting. |

I think the image is cropped to tight.
I think it would be nice to have a more
cinematic aspect ration also you might
want to have a little more air above
the figure on the left. Definetly agree
about the bridge being moved to the
right. It seems to get in the way
needlessy. Exploring different angles
is also interesting.
The think that bothers me the most is
how tight it's cropped.
It's so good of you to plan like this.
It's something that I have to start doing.
Taking time to work it out is SOOOOooo
important. |

There's not much i can say on composition, I'll just suggest that you review the proportions and anatomical aspects of their bodies. |
