It's really kind of interesting...I was looking through his site and I'm recognizing all these pictures from magazines and Cd covers...It was this guy doing it all along...

well if he takes his own photos...It's not like he's surfing the net searching for an image of someone's eye...
I think there are two basic reasons for someone to paint something:
1)To render an image and utilize it in some way...probably a more traditional use for painting. Photos would be more usefull here. To illustrate something.
2)Choosing to paint a picture for it's "paint-ish" qualities...not just to render an image...
if that made any sense at all... |

Interesting thing about him is that he started very traditionally(example: his painted work in Black Orchid, Violent Cases..etc), but after he discovered photo collages and photoshop, he abandoned painting just about completely. In an interview, he said that he no longer sees the point in painting when he could just use photos. . .. |
