Haven't worked on this in a couple weeks, but I do plan on finishing it:
Torso needs to be stretched, and she will have feet, and a proper background . . . it's still very rough is what I'm sayin' |

Interesting how you added such a
glowing almost semi translucent
quality. I'll be waiting for the next
stage.
Oh ya, I think your right about working
on her proportions. Write now she seems
a little short. You could really create much
more length and while doing so it would
make the figure take on a more elegant pose.
Right now my opinion is that I like something about the colors and light
quality (although it would be nice if
this effect was localized to accent. What I mean to say is that if you muted some of
these colors in select areas (middle to background) it could open up the painting and add depth. Although I think you'll solve this once you put in your background. |

Interesting start...though I've seen you come up with more inspiring and might I add "breath-taking" concepts. This one needs some help.
What struck me this time is the bone structure in comparison to the angle your woman is flying. Is she flying or diving? But I think you'll figure this out when you elongate the body and figure out how you want to present her.
The wings? I'd say go take a look at birds in real life flying. Reference real life if you can. That helps me alot.
I also feel that the colour of the wings should be different than the hair. At first when I saw it, it looked like one big brown blob indistinguishable in quality or definition.
On a scale of 1-10? I'd say I've seen you do MUCH better things.
good luck. |
