Here are the two previous progression pics. I decided to show the pic in installments, because it's something I would've liked to see from other artists when I was younger.
This pic is nothing compared to the sequentials I'm going to have to do for the story. One scene is a two-page spread, showing a battle between armies of angels and demons, like this one and better, battling over control of a child's soul. That's gonna take some SERIOUS time.
Edit: The coolest thing just happened. I finished my reply, and the messageboard said "Sit tight. We are taking you back to hell."

This is an awesome pic thus far. Very inspiring. As a young artist i do appreciate the sequentials. I would really like to see some artists show initial sketches. I always hear to start with a gesture, real rough. But i can never find any sequentials showing a picture become a work of art from a bunch of lines. Cant wait to see this finished. I really cant wait to see the battle scene. What are you creating this for? |

Thanks. This is for a comic story I came up with when I started drawing the picture. It's odd, I finished the story before the picture, and I started the picture first. It's a cool story, though. You know how, in cartoons, an angel and a devil are on either side of a character when he's deciding to do something devious? Well, multiply that by a thousand, and you've got the premise of my story. |

Is your story available for me to read? I checked out your site but all you had posted was your artwork. Think i like this pic the most. Monika though, have you ever read the comic Battle Chasers? I think Monika was the chicks name in that comic, she looks very similar too. Fanart by chance? |

Yep, it's fanart. I haven't released anything on the story yet, and I still need to update my site. I'll be doing it soon, probably after this pic is inked and colored. |

The quality of the line is impressive.
Just curious, what type of paper/pencil do you use? Also what is the real size of this line art,(and last one ) could we have a cut of the full rez?
edit: ya funny: "Sit tight. We are taking you back to hell." hehe.

It's 11*17 comc board, drawn in the 10*15 area. I use a 4h and 6h pencil. That may seem like a hard lead, but I like it. I haven't had any time to work on this thing, but I'm going to work on it right after this post. Sure, I'll cut you a high res slice. I'll put something up tonight. |
