Hey there, good work. The blade is too much like a lacquered kitchen countertop. The low gloss/high spec can give this look. Try breaking it up by giving it a broader sharp edge, making the edge high spec and medium level gloss, and then give the main part of the blade a lower gloss and lower spec, to make it more diffused. The hand guard metal is btter, but the sheeth metal is back to where the blade is. You'll want to paint textures for it rather than using procedurals. All in all some nice texture maps would help it immensely. What program are you using BTW? If its Lightwave I'd be happy to texture the model up real quick to give you a starting point. Nice modeling, keep at it! |

nice render. good metals, they r shinny. i like shinny stuff.
is the blad completely flat? It looks like it might be, same with the sheath. If they are, they should probably be oval kinda. something like this <>.
looks really nice so far. |

Hi Anthony
You're right, there all procedual Textures, incase of the Rosestone.
I would be happy if you help me with the Textures. The Picture is completely created in Lightwave. Maybe I can mail you the Model? |

The blade looks way too thin like it should be a butter knife.. and a gladius is a lot thicker than that |
