Could anybody tell me how I could improve this picture? I really need to know what I should do with the wings, cuz I'm not happy with the way they are now

The wings definatley need to be a bit bigger. Especially if its ever to lug that head off the ground . And maybe just a little hint of a background.
One of the biggest things i might change is to make the little dude a little lighter. hes a little hard to see now. |

Hi there ...
How about using batwings as a model for your wings ??? Right now they look a bit "mechanical", symmetrical and not quite convincing in the anatomy department. Now I'm not claiming to have seen dragons before (other than Kommodo Dragons ) but I think it would make sense to base the anatomy on something you can easily find reference on ...
Check out the skeletal structure, and note that it is similar to a human arm, with elongated Ulna and Radius bones ending in 3 looong fingers and a thumb as a "hook" ...
In your drawing it looks like you have 6 "fingers" in place of the first and second finger from the bat anatomy, it might be a good idea to loose the ones you have added.
Also note that the wing-skin comes to a peak at the fingertips, as you have drawn in other places but not in the dragons right wing.
If you are developing this image beyond a pencilsketch, you may want to include detailing of bloodveins and such too ... that would look cool ....
The dragon-head design is excellent ... |
