Here's another concept from the archives...It's Lord Brom, father of Grimbold. C&C welcome.

Looks Great, only a couple of things that my eye caught, his head does not seem to be centered in the body, and it looks like its angled to the right, also the eyes might be too close or that might be a character trait, other than that, looks very "authentic" you might say...keeps scribblin! |

Let me just start out by saying that you have an obvious rare talent, doing something that honestly looks like its your own style and that it suits you!
For a bit of commenting on this or your drawings posted in this forum as a general, then I often have major difficulties figuring out your characters! They look awesome and very artisticly drawn, but when it comes down to reading the shape and undestanding the figure of your character, it often gets really difficult (at least for me... cannot speak for others )!
take the drawing here as an example... from the hands, them included, and up I easily read your character, its simple, starightforward and very charismatic! But what goes on beneath the hands and what goes on between the hands and the beard... that is almost impossible for me to read! After some time trying to figure it out, I have settled for the fact that it looks like he's somehow sitting in a chair, resting his hands on the sides of the chair, and those round patches, must be kneepatches! (Am I close?)
In this case I believe it has something to do with you purposely leaving out the environment, even the closest (like the rest of the chair (that I believe he's sitting in)) and the lack of depth in the drawing (it seems very flat). Try to ditinguish between the different depths and nuances of shadows, that being soft shadows, hard shadows n' blended shadows... that'll add the depth thats missing.
otherwise nice work!! ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

I like it a lot. And it looks like both of us like Joe Madureira. ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |
