For this session, I finished up her clavicle area(the cold colors I applied to the shadow area worked out great. Gives the illusion of really fair skin--the kind you can almost see the veins underneath), and tightened up the hair with more detail, added blush to her cheeks..etc.
I'm about to finish up the hair. I still need to add shadows cast from the hair, loosen up her dress(the brush work. Pervert), and paint the jewelry back in.
The next posting will be the finished piece. I'll also include the full resolution version too. |

I have a soft spot for the version without the jewellery.. the jewels create two horizontal lines that imho kinda break the vertical layout but hey.. that's just me.
Bravo :)

Definately no jewelry! Are you gonna sharpen her up, those edges? Even if you just sharpen a couple key places it'd draw focus to those areas(like part of her eye lid, maybe the bottom inside, and part of her lips). Anyway, just a though, very nice :] |

Hmmm, guess my intuition was right. There's something special about the version without jewelry. . ..
Anthony- I tried sharpening up her some, but as soon as I do so, the ethereal look starts to vanish. I think for this piece, she might have to remain soft and out of focus.
Dr. Bang- Be a gentleman. She's a PRINCESS, and she's sad. You have to comfort her and treat her well. No pimping allowed. |

Awesome work.. I vote no for the necklace but I'm impartial to the headpiece.. With a gun to my head I'd say no jewelry at all!
Impressed,

Lunatique man! She is so unearthly beautiful.
Im looking at her and I have Bon Jovis album Crush playing Shes a mysterywow you should try it, its makes me wanna stop drawing that ridiculous landscape.
Thats discusting dont do that very often, we cant draw anymore ;-)
Keep the fabulous work going. |

Wow... that is so, so good... I actually prefer the one with necklace and tiara, but it could be I'm just subconciously going against the grain of the forum. ^_^ |

looks really really good, but the neck seems too long, maybe drop the head down 1/3 of the down the neck. did i mention that its looking great.

Christian +- Sorry dude. I don't own any Bon Jovi albums.
Landscapes can be fun too. I don't do much of it simply because I have this thing for images that expresses emotional content(in the human context).
deimus- I think I might know why most people prefer the version without. It might have something to do with the jewelry getting in the way of her smooth skin?
vurx- Heheh. I luv long, slender necks-- They're great for nibbling. I also love well defined clavicles too. Guess it's just my quirky personal preference? When I see a girl with long, slender neck and obvious clavicles, I just go crazy!
Thanks for all the nice comments! Hopefully I'll have something new to post again soon.

Actually I just figured out why I like the one with the necklace more... because as was said above, the neck seems a little too long. (which is not necessarily unnatural - Audrey Hepburn had a long neck)
The necklace serves to break up the vertical "formation" of the neck into two smaller pieces, making it more realistic to my minds eye. |

Just wanted to add, it looks reall nice, I like how you added the trim on her coller, really adds to the picture.. as well as you got the neck and throat area shadowing and structure pretty accurate... Nice work man... |
