Only one breast? Sure they were tall but I don't remember anywhere there being a refrence to a 'one breast' thing. And besides..I think we can overlook the one breast thing considering there is a dragon in the scene!

Was it some sort of genetic deviance or a right of passage??

Well, traditionally Amazons were supposed to cut off one breast so they could shoot bows better.

The Xena and Hercules shows conveniently forgot that little part, didn't they?

Yes, I now about that, but I didn't see any pictures and moves with amazone with one breast Also I don't think, that all amazons cut off one breast, because not all womens has wery big breast.

Well, considering the amazons are probably about as historically real as the Oddessy, I don't think you have to worry.
