I second that, the pic has great mood!
But that star is distractive.

HO! This is a very funny picture. What strikes me the most is the subjects' crazy expressions. How would you improve this?
Composition:
If you want to increase the drama, slant the plane by a few degrees and keep them a little off-center. The tilt will enhance the whimsical wildness of the composition.
2. Since there is already a nice loose circular motion, the placement of your flag does not have to be so obvious. Either decrease the size of the flag or make it blow backwards (just hint at it)This will enhance the illusion of speed.
2. Watch the tire on the right side of the buggy. I like the 'squashed look' on the left side however the right side might look better if the original shape is maintained.
Should there be more space between the buggy and the right wheel? Can I see a hint of the axle? some white space?
3. The driver's left arm looks abit off. Also, the positioning of the body in relation to the handle looks like s/he is pulling or steering the motorcycle to the left. If so, then the tire has got to reflect that. But I SO SO like the look of that squashed wheel! This picture is going to look so fun when it's done!
4. I agree with the previous posts, the legs on both subjects are not long enough and the motorcyclist's right boot has a strange shade on it that makes me wonder which way his foot is rotating. The figure at the back also can do with some arm longation. Some VERY NICE SHADING though!
I really enjoy the spirit in this painting. Your ability to embue characters with life is commendable! Makes me want to laugh with and at them! It's a very nice gift you have there. NOt many artists can make the audience empathize with their characters.
Good luck

ohhh woops. the picture is already on a slant. I didn't notice because i was looking at it from a strange angle.
In that case! good choice of composition! |

It's so funny I don't even care about the legs. It doesn't seem like a realistic piece anyway
Good stuff. |
