Hey, Guys. Here's what I'm currently working on. It's a Alien Space Pirate. (ASP) This was originally developed for the Challange over at www.cgtalk.com. However, I'm not going to finish it in time to compete. Here he is:

And even more. C'mon guys! I feel like I'm talking to myself here!
Added better hair, mustach (sp?), shoes (rough beta form) and made the transition between the torso and the claw a bit more varied.
Anyone have anything to say? ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

I think you should let the hair go further down in the back. Just an opinion though.
I think his stomac/chest looks a bit weird. Even if he is an alien the muscles doesn't look organic enough. You should add more detail and maybe make the current muscles less protruding. Over and out. |

Damn... I can barely hold my balance, with a bag full of sportsgear in one hand!!! Where did he learn that trick?
Naah looks pretty good!!!
Only minor thinigs could be commented from here... dont like his stomach muscles... I mean that second paer of breasts hanging benaeth his first pair. First thing that cought my eyes! Second... It doesn't look to me, as if there's any weight in his backpack, or even the backpack is weighing anything! The straps crossing his chest doesn't seem to be pulled back, tight against the skin, seem to be hanging in mid air (especially the part crossing the stomach). The butt seems a bit flat to me! This is supposed to be the biggest muscle the body can produce, so show it!!!
All comments on Minor things! All in all it looks pretty stunning! Just notice my opening comment... theres more than just a joke hidden in that one!!! ![](images/smiles/icon_wink.gif) |

New stuff:
Added funky pants, shoulder thing and minor modelling fixes all over the pirate. Shoes have been altered as well.
Front view for proportion purposes.
Any suggestions are welcome! If not followed to the letter... ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

Allright - here's the new stuff. I got as far away from the "Snail" refrence as possible. He doesn't look all that much like JarJar anymore, either.
Not sure what happened with the shoes and lower legs here. Seems to be a lighting problem...
Please, folks - Comment! |

Agree!!!! It looks preeeeeetty nice!!!
Just one comment, and that will actually be repeeting myself... the shoulderstraps man!!! On a model this cool, you CANNOT just leave those things flying in the air!!! (most obvious in the 1.st pic, in your update January 31, 2002 12:37 AM!)
It annoys me, really only because everything else looks so perfect!!!
Verdict: Stunning!!!!

Heck, yeah! a Q3A Model would rock. It'd be over 1500 polys, though...
Arkoh: Yes, I agree. I've snugged the straps up to the body. One reason this wasn't done before, is that I was still canging the base model, and didn't want to mess around with the straps every time I changed something.
Specialbrew: MAX 3. Strictly Sub-D modelling.
New stuff.
Enjoy, All!
Thanks! |

Yep... he needed the haircut!!!
To be honest... everytime I have commented on this thread, I have thought that this would have to be a finished model you were showing us (well now I think of it... I guess you wouldn't keep posting it in this forum, if it was finished now would you?)!!
You just keep suprising us... well at least me that is!!!
btw.. what kind of hardass'd guy is this? I mean with two rocketengines strapped to his back, bearing down on mister right ass and mister left ass!! ![](images/smiles/icon_wink.gif) |

Altered the jetpack:
And the decals I've been putting on:
This one is right over his butt, attached to the backpack...
Enjoy! |
