Hi guys
I would appreciate any criticism of my first attempt at making a 3d human head.
Thanks

No its in 3ds Max
I'll have an updated one with real eyes soon
They eyes were just filled in untill I could make fully animatable internal eyes.
I'll try moving they eyes appart a little once the internal eyes are done.
I think the real problem comes from the fact that there is no facial expression. The muscles are all in relaxed state.
My plan is to make morph targets of all the major muscle groups so I can then use the targets to animate the face.
Thanks for the tips
Adam

It looks like your doin great just some pointers: I think the nostruls are very big, his nose could be some smaller, and theres a lot to fix about his ears, maybe take a look at some reference.

If we are speaking anatomically correct then the eyes should be a bit deeper in the face. Look at somone from the side. You could also make the bridge of the nose a bit more straight. So that it doesn't go in so far at the eyes. But that might change his appearance more than you want it to.
I've never gotten this far on a human face, I always get bored and start on another alien (which I don't finish either)

Hey Adam, Glad to see you're doing a head. It's a big step in terms of 3D modeling.
Check out this link, it helped me a lot.

And check out mika
that is definetly the most realistic 3d head I've ever seen. Truely inspiring.
