Weeh something quickly done and yes in progress..
If someone has some composition tips, I'd be open to it. (read ; yes I know. Unplanned pic is bound to have problems so start pounding lol )
What I tried to convey is a sense of rhythm, run + jump. Transition of media (medium), leap of faith. That kind of artsy fartsy stuff I think too much about !
Take it away people ! Tell me what you think
Edit: Spelling is such a hastle. BAH !

I _really_ dig the picture ... the biggest complaint I have is that the character is pretty much in the exact middle - I'd either up the picture a little more to the left or move the guy a little to the right. On the looks side I feel the character, and perhaps the whole picture, is a bit dark on the shadow side.
And, I'd drop the text, it's quite kitch (the picture tells the obvious in a way more refined manner). |

That was fast !!! And noted for the text. It was a last addition I trew in before making a web copy. It'll be gone by sunrise !
I had done the shadows on the character on the other side. i.e : the light source being on the other side and closer to us. I'll stick with that light source but lower the contrasts then. Thanks again |

I like this very much! but i can't
feel the presence of motion here.
Few pointers here:
In this picture the bright background on the right side and the dark in the left are the most effective factors when creating the movement. Imagine that the left background is as bright the right one -it's obvious that the motion stops.
Indeed.. you have done a great job with the background. It does have potential emphasizing the movement. You could want to cut out some of the background in the left side as it increases the movement as well.
Second factor is the character and it's position in the picture. I think it is the main problem here. As the character is positioned in the centre, it remains very static. By moving the character bit more to the _left_ you make the illusion of movement more impressive.
Third factor here could be the colour. Same temperatured colours tend to conversate in the picture and unite. By placing some warm colour in the left side of background the character's warm skintone would "conversate" with the warm colour in the left background. That would also make the movement more vivid. But make sure that the colour doesn't dominate the cold bright on the right. That would make the image more static again..
Good work.. keep up.
