Rain, I like your ideas for an interface for the webspace, but I think you have poorly executed it. Looking through your work I have noticed that some are well done others are quite week. I am not sure if this is due to the images being done over a period of time.
These are just honest comments, and hope they help not discourage.

Wow, I LOVE the front page.

I agree with Basement Bound that some pages are weak, but once you get the logos up for those it should help. Just be careful to keep some unison in the pages. When each page is different colors it seems sort of Geocities-ish to me...just my opinion though.

Basement bound: Can I ask, which images are you talking about (the ones that you think are week?) Are you talking about the art or the website?

What I was meaning was that your paintings, digital or traditional are things are really well done. On the otherhand, the drawings need alot of work compared to your paintings. I just think that the interface that you have created does not do the justice to the paintings that you have done. I just think you could make something more technical.

Weird.

I'll be honest. Your life drawing & still life sketches are amazing in comparison to your pencil sketches and some other works. So much so thats its quite bizare.
Its seems you can draw what you see but not depict what you imagine. I'm not saying this is good nor bad, just an observation.

a tip: when you publish, go to publish settings, to the html tab, and then demensions, and put it to percent stuff..
then try to make it look right,, the flash interface will then always fit into the window...
and if you want to make the viewer scroll, I would make the scrollbar inside the flash.

Hey thanks for the comments everyone. Yeah, I have only been drawing really for about a year, and I have only just begun to draw from memory. I think with time, my memory drawings will improve. I need to really do more studies. Although, a lot of the time, my sketches are just for enjoyment, just too create somthing fun and whimsy (not going for totally accuracy, but even intentionally scewing reality).

Thanks for the tips about flash and the website. I really did it quick to get my stuff on the web.

Although, I am pleased with how the site works, its all contained in one window and easy to navigate (which is what I was going for).

But yeah, I plan to do a much more technical site when I get around to it (more cool graphic design and stuff). I'm really into that. Need to learn illustrator more though. But right now I really need to get my portfolio done for art school admission. I have to do a project that visually interprets a week of my life, and I'll probably post it when it's done, to get some comments (hopefully good ones )
