I hesitate to post here cuz I know it will be picked apart and I will end up with a list of things that require the complete rebuilding of the piece.. but what the hell... do your worst. *cringes*

I think in general she kind of still has the box look that some 3d characters seem to get.
Her face looks kind of flat and her body parts look too cylindrical. Especially the pants. You'd expect some creases and the likes.
I am not sure what the tan line on her face is. Is it a tan line or a dirt line? I'd work on that a little more. If it's dirt make it more textured and greyer.
Furthermore some things are just not very clear to me. Like what the oval spots on her arms and face are. And the green rings around her arms. But I guess those are things that will become something once it's finished right?
I like the texturing. It's pretty good.
And I think she looks pretty cute. Although her nose seems kind of odd. Kind of bent and too long. Ok..I've been looking at this pic for too long now. I better go and pass the stick to someone else...
good work |

First things first; I really like the type of textures you've got going here. And it's a nice model, looks pretty clean.
As for picking it apart:
The glasses looks like they're attached to her hair.
Her neck seems rather thick.
There's a crease(?) in her shirt, that looks like a smoothing-atifact, more than a crease(imho).
The belt-attatchy-to-pant-things(rungs?) looks like they're attached to the belt rather than the pants(maybe if you showed the top of the pants, above the belt, it would help).
The boots could use some more texture.
Personally i think that you should model the pockets in her pants.
And this one, i can't beleive you didn't notice yourself.. She has no hands!.
Apart from these things(those that aren't just my failing eyes), really nice one.

edraket: thanks. its still only my first 3d character, so the boxyness should go away after my 2-3rd character I hope! its supposed to be a dirt line from her goggles. nose is funny, but gives her character i guess, I will try to make the pant legs more unique, when shes posed it should look better. The rings are tribal tatts, and on her face is paint, shes supposed to be sorta wasteland tribal character, but less so.. lol, if that makes sense.
Maslak: thanks also. the belt loops are gay, i knew someone would see that :\
boots havent been even touched yet, ok, good idead model the pockets, and hands are a bitch to model, went through 3 different versions, so moved onto texture, I'll tackle hands when i get the courage up again. |

You know what?... Not even if this was your 10th or 15th character or whatever, would I say anything other than... Very nice work!!!
I agree with Shizo... ignore those ultraperfectionalistic dweeps on top (no offens guys! ), and pat yourself on the back, because this IS actually very nice work!!!
I have only one small comment, that I would give you... well I would somehow want to see more of what you have done with the line running down her shirt, compositionally thinkin! I would want to see more asymmetry: different patches on the left and the right leg of her trousers, different tatoos on her left shoulder and on her right (if not left out on of them!), different characteristics on her shoes, different jewelery or maybe a watch on one hand and not the other etc... That would add the personallity you are after, and break the perfectness of computergenerated characters!
Looking so much forward to see your next model!! ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

HEY!! I didn't say it wasn't sweet!
Since it was posted in the WiP-forum, and he wanted it to be critiqued, i went ahead and did it.
What would be gained from posting it here, and receiving only "Really nice, what program?"-replys? (apart from a bigger ego ) (No offense to anyone).
It IS a nice character, and for a first whole character, even nicer. But there are still flaws, that WILL be spotted by 3d-geeks like myself . |

My only crit, would be to say, that if you are going to put hands on the ends of those (wrist bands?) then her arms will likely be much to long. Unless those white caps are wher the hands are going to be. Im not sure, but I would watch that. Also, It's hard to see from this perspective, but the legs look as thought they go straight down from her waist. in actuality the thigh bone, is angled inward from the hip to the knee. Not a lot, but enough, i'm an anatomy freak, so dont let it bother you. It looks really nice, I'd like to know how you made the hair in max. Other than that Great start.
Toodles.
