First of all, I have to give credit to my friend, Mandi Chiem, who drew the original sketch for I painted over it for this peice or work

I've been a long time lurker on these forums but I thought I would try and get away from just doing Quake 3 skins. When Mandi asked me if I wanted to colour her sketch in, I thought sod it and here I am with this pic

The figure herself was painted using a mouse but the wings were done using a Wacom graphics tablet- it came through today and it is amazing to use

I'm almost at the point where I am prepared to call it finished but I want it to be perfect so I thought I would show it off to you guys and see what needs to be improved

first i thought: hey, thats cool. very cool.
but then i recognized some details. the hair for example. the hair on the head doesn't look bad but the hair on the floor. doesn't look like hair shoul do i think. the rest is very cool, but i wouldn't let the eye shine through the hair. keep on

yeah, the hair on the ground kinda looks like fur. Much better than I could do though.
