wow, really interesting image youve made. the anatomy i find is really interesting. its almost anime, but a bit to short, and alsmot comic booky like. really cool.
probably the best thing to do is to decide where the light is coming from. behind her, to the side, in front? or even multiple lights. once ive figured that out, its time to decide the strength of those lights.
right now, her left side, (my right) should be a lot darker, and lighter on her right.
youve also lost the definition of her nose it looks like. it should alost get a bit of light on the tip.
also, watch the neck. the muscle there is a bit to strong i think.
hope this helps |

Yeah, the poportion is definitly off a little, but that might just be stayle choice. I like her pose though, and her longbow.

Hey man, I really liked your website. Loved the character concepts and storyboards there too. Very unique stuff, I was sadden when I learned I was unable to save some to my HD....
Concerning this paining here. I really like the way her body came out, very petite. The only real thing that I have a suggestion on is the right eye, I know its not a finished piece, but I noticed that her right eye is a tad bit larger than her left eye which is actually closer to us than the right. So the right eye needs adjusting and prob a little more reflective lighting too within it. I dont normally nit pick on small things, but this is one of those things that sticks out.
Hey are you still working on this or did you start a new project man?
peace |

Hey thanks for the help. Sorry haven't worked on it in a few days I was just swamped at work. still not finished with the background. Maybe If I use some reference materials the lighting will look better.
about the website thankyou for showing interest Indian_Prophet, If you really want some images I could mail them to you just as long as you don't pass them off as your own . Just tell me what you want.

Hehe, no I would never pawn them off as my own...I just keep a library of art by some of the better artist, whether their strong points are concept, color, anatomy or all of the above. I don't open these pics up and paint side by side or anything like that and I don't even try and color pick their palette, although I probably should because my colors are just slightly more advanced than the second grade level...
With your site, I was amazed at your style and character concepts. But it's not a big deal, I only have a dial up connection so emailing would be a huge pain.
Your revised picture is really much smoother. I love the lighting coming in from outside. The only thing I would suggest is that the light is pretty intense and would really put a kind of halo around the edges of her lower body. For instance her left leg on the outer edge would reflect (bend around) almost as the same as her right. The shadow would quite strong too. But hey, you are prob still brainstorming so...Keep it up!!!
Nice work
Peace
