Sorry for the fuzzi-ness look ... there seems to be a problem every time I resize the picture ... I sorta hate the lighting ... anyone with suggestions to improve the lighting?

Humans and robots, that's a tried concept. Check out www.dieselsweeties.com !

About the lighting, give it some direction. The best lighting to work with in an office environment is diffuse. The best lighting to use on a drawing is anything but diffuse light.
And try to sharpen the picture. This is more a question of the time you put in it, than it is a question about skills.
