First of all... if you want people around here, to seriously respond to your request, the first good advice I could give you, would be to somehow specify your own plan with this picture, your thoughts and your own worries. Especially what kind of comments you hope for concerning the colouring, the style, composition, technic and soforth. Another side to this is that its extremely difficult relating to a request for comments on a drawing with out knowing the background... what is it for, school, your cousin, or in this case what kind of band are we talkin about, what kind of music, what kind of album?
Having said all that I wouldn't mind try giving you a bit of crit&comments here... I just wish you hadn't chopped of some bits here and there! Its very hard, relating to a picture, where you clearly sense that something is missing!
The drawing got potential, definitely, so I will drop in later to see, if you have uploaded a complete version (preferably in a bigger size), before I give you any advice! |

hehe ok.. i get the point. Well i uploaded
it as fast as possible becasue i was going to school
Anyways, the image (the colored version) is not for the band itself , they play hardrock
so i don't think the "playfull airbrush"-stile would do it. I just needed a sketch
to work with for practicing. The reason i cut it out was of the minor bugs here and
there and the outlines. I just didnt want
comments on the bugs if you know what i mean?
Anyway, as i said i only working on it for practicing technique etc, i'm trying to
get a playfull cartoonish-airbrush-stile on it, cause i'll guess when the original is finished it will be all dark and stuff (you know hardrock cd's). Well i'll keep working
on it and then upload the complete version.
btw, i would really like some idas for a background |

hey arkoh, this is the work in progress forum, maybe he's not finished with all the parts and want us to crit the rest?
incomplete pictures is kind of the idea with work in progress..
i think it looks as a really good start.
i wonder what you're going to do with it. are you going to put the logo to the left or is it for a cd cover?
i looks like you've used quite much color burn on the body, and please dont, use your own colors. you can pick colors from a photo or whatever. dodge and burn makes it look odd though.
the whites on the cape looks a bit odd too, like if the cape was made some plastic material..
but keep working on it! i'd like to see it finished. |

Sorry sorry please forgive me, I read my post back, and I can clearly see where I went wrong... when I asked for a comlpete version!!!!
I never meant that I wouldn't comment on a work in progress, for god sake, thats what I am here for!!! Only that I to my own best believe couldn't fully comment on the drawing when I felt that I needed the rest of the drawing (that was my meaning by the use of the word complete... NOT finished!) and preferably in a bigger size, so I could see more details..
My sincere appologies Digiworx!!!

arkoh, its cool
tyron, your'e right.. ive used dodge/burn
on the body... its very hard to get
that human-skin look. But i'll try getting
colors from a photo - ive never thought
of that...thank you!
And you guys are right about that cape too..
maby i shouldn't made it so "shiny"
but i like it - just maby a little bit
too much graffiti stile , i don't know.
i'll work on that too =) |
